In this satellite photo taken on June 6, 1994, the city is distinctly visible as the last remaining pocket of densely forested area (the dark upside-down triangle on the north-west side of Lake Washington). The white triangular area near the lake is the Towne Center shopping center.  The white line snaking from top to bottom is I-5.
