Part-Time Administrative Assistant Position Description

The Lake Forest Park Stewardship Foundation (LFPSF) is a local non-profit corporation.  Its mission is to contribute to the well-being of the community of Lake Forest Park by fostering awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of our natural environment; and by preserving and enhancing parks and open space.

Position Title:  Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the LFPSF Board in providing programs and services to increase the organization’s efficiency, effectiveness and visibility.

Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating the Foundation’s grants, programs, services, and projects.  

Ø      Maintain and back up data base systems that coordinate and track volunteer participation, donors and business sponsors, 

Ø      Assist in fund raising efforts,

Ø      Compose and send donor and volunteer acknowledgements,

Ø      Assist the Board in pursuing grant opportunities,

Ø      Perform grant administration functions,

Ø      Coordinate publicity, marketing and media outreach including press releases, articles, interviews, newsletters,

Ø      Assist in the preparation and staffing of projects/events,

Ø      Assist with Board communications and in building community relations,

Ø      Manage email distribution lists.

 

Compensation and Hours:

 

$14 - $16.00 per hour depending on experience

20 hours per month allocated according to work load on a contract basis
