Administration Position Description
The Lake Forest Park Stewardship Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to the well-being of our community by fostering awareness and appreciation of our natural resources, and by preserving and enhancing the parks, open space, and recreational opportunities in Lake Forest Park.
Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting the LFPSF Board in providing programs and services to increase the organization’s efficiency, effectiveness and visibility.
Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating the Foundation’s programs, services, and projects as assigned.
Ø Develop, implement and track a timeline of critical tasks.
Ø Coordinate publicity, marketing and media outreach including press releases, articles, interviews, newsletters, etc.
Ø Assist in the formation and staffing of project/event committees.
Ø Develop and maintain systems that will maximize the potential uses of the donor and volunteer databases.
Ø Coordinate and track volunteer participation.
Ø Cultivate and nurture donors and sponsors.
Ø Work with the Board to cultivate community relations.
Ø Compose and send donor acknowledgements.
Ø Work with the Finance Committee in its fund-raising efforts that will ensure sustainability of the organization.
Ø Assist the Board in pursuing grant opportunities that fit within the Foundation’s mission, including continued funding for the Administrative Assistant position.
Ø Assist with event preparations.
Ø Prepare and submit written and/or oral reports to the Board as requested; back up computer-generated data..
Ø Manage workload within the hours allocated to the position.

Compensation and Hours:
$12 - $16.00 per hour depending on experience on a contract basis
83 hours per month allocated according to work load
