The accompanying page allows you to view a sequence of aerial photos of the land which now comprises the Cole Nature Park. These photos were taken between 1961, when the land was in what is believed to be its more or less natural state, and 1995. Also available is a map which shows the current boundaries of the Cole Nature Park. All of these images are in the same scale and orientation, allowing for easy comparisons of the lay of the land at different times.

Viewing each image for the first time will take a short while while the image loads from this web site. However once the images have been viewed once, you should be able to switch back and forth between them relatively rapidly.

All of the photos except for the 1969 photos were obtained from the Suzallo Library, University of Washington. These were taken by the Washington Department of Natural Resources. The 1969 photo was obtained from Walker and Associates, Seattle, Washington, and used here with their permission.
